The team creating the Department has a rich scientific and research achievements, which include numerous patents, publications in scientific journals and conference materials, as well as scientific monographs. His main scientific interests lie in the areas of microelectronics and optoelectronics. They include the issues of designing and manufacturing integrated electronics systems and semiconductor devices based on silicon and silicon carbide, high-temperature electronics, thermal issues of electronics, photovoltaics, photonics and integrated optoelectronics systems. The Department implements numerous projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (promoting, own, development, purposeful and commissioned).

It also participates in international projects of the European Union and in projects resulting from bilateral agreements with foreign universities.
